Live United: The Convergence

United Way of West Ellis County's strategic plan represents our focus on the convergence of health, education and financial stability, and is a central part the strategic plan for UWWEC over the next three to five years.  THE CONVERGENCE focuses volunteer, advocacy and financial resources on projects and programs that provide health, education and financial stability support simultaneously.

United Way of West Ellis County seeks to identify and support programs to achieve intersecting outcomes in the three focus areas of health, education and financial stability.  In 2020, United Ways in Texas released the ALICE (Asset Limited Income Constrained, Employed) Report, which identifies that 27% of households can no longer afford to live in Ellis County.  United Way of West Ellis County's investments and programs are aligned to support these households.

We fight for these key focus areas:

Underneath everything we are, underneath everything we do, we are all people. Connected, interdependent, united. And when we reach out a hand to one, we influence the condition of all.  That's what it means to LIVE UNITED.
